Originally a music executive, Cossette championed the television broadcast of the Grammy Awards, overseeing its growth from modest beginnings 40 years ago to a popular fixture in the broadcast schedules. In recognition of this, the Grammy Museum was housed in the Pierre Cossette Center at the Staples Center in LA.
