BAFTA ACCESS FOR ALL SCHOLAR  2021

Ivan Hernandez is from South Gate, California. Ivan recently graduated from Long Beach City College with a Theatre Arts major. He is now studying Special Fx Makeup at CMU Makeup of Art and Design in Toronto, Canada. In 2017, Ivan joined a film program called Inner-City Filmmakers. This program has helped him enhance his skills in filmmaking and meet talented people in the entertainment industry. 

While attending college, Ivan has worked in the film industry with Creature FX, America's Got Talent, and Press Your Luck. Ivan also participated in the BAFTA Los Angeles Filmmaking Collective program. BAFTA awarded Ivan with a $5,000 scholarship to begin his journey as a Special FX Makeup Artist. In the future, Ivan would like to work as a Makeup Artist in the union for Local 706 and open his FX Shop where he will want to create his creatures and monsters for movies.
