An Irish musician and occasional actor, whose song ‘Nothing Compares 2 U’ (1990) made her an international star. Sinead O’Connor, also known as Shuhada’ Sadaqat after converting to Islam in 2018, featured in the following films: Hush-a-Bye Baby (1990), The Ghosts of Oxford Street (1991), Wuthering Heights (1992) and The Butcher Boy (1997). She was the subject of the double BIFA-winning documentary Nothing Compares (2022).
