Joel Hochberg

Games Executive

An American games executive, who oversaw the US business operations of British game developer Rare from 1986 to 2002. Joel Hochberg also served as president of sister company, Rare Coin-It Inc, making such coin-operated arcade machines as Vs. Slalom (1986) and RC Pro-Am Racing (1987). He is credited on such console games as Donkey Kong Country (1994), GoldenEye 007 (1997), Perfect Dark (2000) and Conker’s Bad Fur Day (2001). Prior to Rare, he worked as vice-president of arcade machine maker Centuri.
