David Leland

A British director and writer, who won a BAFTA for his original screenplay for Wish You Were Here (1987), a film he also directed. David Leland was also nominated that same year for his script for Personal Services (1987), having already been nominated the previous year for Mona Lisa (1986). Other writer and/or director credits include Made in Britain (1982), The Land Girls (1998), Band of Brothers (2001) and The Borgias (2012). Leland also had a career as an actor, earning more than 30 performance credits.
