A British actor, best known for musical theatre and, in particular, the work of Stephen Sondheim. David Kernan did also appear onscreen, including the films Jailbreak (1962), Zulu (1964), Up the Chastity Belt, Carry On Abroad (both 1972) and The Education of Sonny Carson (1974). On television, he appeared in episodes of The Avengers (1966,1967), Up Pompeii! (1970) and Upstairs, Downstairs (1972), among others, and was a regular singer for On the Bright Side (1959-1960) and That Was The Week That Was (1962).
