An American game programmer, who was known for his pioneering work at Atari and developer Imagic, the company he co-founded after leaving Atari in 1981. Bob Smith programmed such Atari 2600 games as Video Pinball (1980), Dragonfire, Riddle of the Sphinx (both 1982), Moonsweeper and Star Wars: The Arcade Game (both 1983). He would later work on various console and handheld games, including WarpSpeed (1992), Barkley: Shut Up and Jam (1994), Army Men 3D (1999) and March of the Penguins (2006).
