Phoebe Darling is a London-born Production Designer coming from a background in Fine Art and Art History. Her work ranges from creating severe realistic settings in film, to designing playful and surreal environments for music videos and commercial work. Phoebe has worked with some of the biggest up and coming UK Grime artists on a number of music videos including Dave, Headie One and Krept and Konan. She has made two films with director Ayo Akingbade, as part of her trilogy of shorts on social housing. Phoebe’s debut feature, COUNTY LINES - nominated for 2 BAFTAS, 4 BIFAS - is a gritty social realist drama about a teenage boy who is groomed into running drugs in the UK by a criminal gang, and dealt with themes she has encountered first hand. She recently relocated to LA and has enjoyed exploring the short-film genre in new surroundings, working on STRIPPER with Director Anthony Sneed (AFI) and Cinematographer Robert L. Hunter (AFI) on the Cherokee Reservation NC.
