Eunice Maruhi is a director and writer from Nairobi, Kenya. Since she began pursuing her dream in Film and Television in the US, she has won two awards for her work. In 2018, her Screenplay “Ocean Tides” won third place at Hope College’s Screenplay Competition. In 2019, her short documentary film, "95 Stories: Racism and Homophobia in a Christian School" won first place in the Michigan Association of Broadcasters Awards. This short documentary has been particularly useful for educators and leaders who work in Diversity and Inclusion at Hope College and in the surrounding areas. In that same year, she got into the Television Academy Foundation internship program, an opportunity that allowed her to meet and work with some of the best creators in Film and Television in Hollywood.
Eunice is committed to remaining open, constantly learning and evolving as a storyteller. She aspires to use the transformative and healing power of storytelling in service of truth, goodness, and beauty!
