10 February 2013
BAFTA winners at the Royal Opera House collecting their awards from a range of presenters at the EE British Academy Film Awards ceremony on Sun 10 Feb 2013.

Acceptance speech by Christoph Waltz, winner of the Supporting Actor category for Django Unchained at the EE Britsh Academy Film Awards in 2013.

CHRISTOPH WALTZ:  Thank you, thank you so much for this immense honour.

It's -- why I get to stand here is really no mystery because it says so at the very beginning of our movie: written and directed by Quentin Tarantino.  But of course, I want to thank Jamie Foxx and Leo DiCaprio and Sam Jackson and Kerry Washington for their camaraderie and help, and Harvey Weinstein and Amy Pascal for their attention.  And I want to thank Adam Schweitzel for his support and enthusiasm and Lisa Costella for making me shine.

But it all starts and ends with Quentin.  Really, beyond everything that I need and want to thank you for, Quentin, the thing that touches me the most is your unconditional trust that I will put your creation to its proper use, you silver-penned devil, you.  Thank you.
