BAFTA winners at the Royal Opera House collecting their awards from a range of presenters at the EE British Academy Film Awards ceremony on Sun 10 Feb 2013.

Acceptance speech by Mark Andrews and Brenda Chapman, winners of the Animated Film category for Brave at the EE Britsh Academy Film Awards in 2013.

MARK ANDREWS:  Oh my.  This is amazing!

Hello everybody!  Thank you BAFTA for this amazing and beautiful award.  This thing is insane.

First and foremost, thank you my fellow director, Brenda Chapman, for creating this inspirational love story, this unconventional fairytale that relies -- that doesn't rely its happy ending on a Prince Charming, that is centred around this dynamic lead female, thank you very much.

Thank you to Pixar, John Lasseter, Ed Campbell, Jim Morrison(?) (inaudible) for supporting the film, our producer Katherine Sarafian for her leadership and collaboration.  The entire crew that made the mysteries of Scotland come alive on-screen and brought them to life.  Thank you to our families who put up with us for these several, several, several, several, several years that it takes to make this film.

To me, being brave is about being true to yourself and allowing our loved ones the same freedom.

BRENDA CHAPMAN:  First and foremost, I would like to thank my beautiful, strong daughter that drives me crazy.  She inspired this film from the beginning.  So Emma, back home, thank you.  My husband who was incredibly supportive and loyal.  And I have to say, my UK cast, you guys were amazing, most of you lived up north but we couldn't have made this film without you.

So thank you everyone and the cast -- and Mark sort of hit everybody else, so thank you.

MARK ANDREWS:  Thank you.
