Video & Photography

Following most of our events and awards ceremonies, we make a small selection of photography and video available to the media for free, helping bring your coverage to life. Details of usage of photography and videography for events will be listed below as they happen. 

General Photography 

A selection of free press imagery is available on our Online Photography Library. Please email [email protected] for any other press imagery requests. 

Metadata on all our photography includes mandatory credit information.

Official BAFTA photography is also available via our partner agencies, Rex Shutterstock and Camera Press.

General Videography

We encourage outlets to embed our video from YouTube. If EPKs are available following an awards ceremony, the latest instructions on accessing the content will be displayed below and in the relevant Awards press room: Film, Television or Games. BAFTA video content is available to licence via Screenocean. You can find out more here.

PHOTOGRAPHY

BAFTA Photography will be providing free images to press via www.bafta.thirdlight.com – via the front page. Additional red carpet, ceremony, backstage & party imagery will be syndicated via Rex Shutterstock.

Backstage Portraits shot by Matt Holyoak will be syndicated by Camera Press.

VIDEO CONTENT

FREE-TO-USE VIDEO EDITORIAL CONTENT FOR BROADCAST AND ONLINE

EE and BAFTA will be creating video content at this year’s EE British Academy Film Awards for broadcasters, wires and online content providers/publishers to use free-of-charge for editorial.

  • The content will include clips suitable for media to use as required, as well as packages appropriate for publishing directly online.
  • The events covered by EE and BAFTA at the Royal Albert Hall will be the Red Carpet, Winners’ Photo Area, and Winners’ Press Conference.
  • News access highlights of the Ceremony will also be made available.
  • Please note different usage rights apply to categories of footage (see below).

EE British Academy Film Awards 2019: Red Carpet Live Programme

The official red carpet programme, hosted by Dermot O’Leary and Edith Bowman, will be live from 17:00 – 18:30 GMT. This exclusive show will be simultaneously broadcast globally on BAFTA’s Facebook (/BAFTA), Twitter (@BAFTA / #EEBAFTAs) and via EE’s Facebook page (/EE), with highlights also featured in the BBC One Ceremony programme.

Embed code for sharing the BAFTA red carpet show will be shared week ahead of the event.
