A British producer and director, who was particularly influential in the British sitcom scene of the 1970s to 1990s, earning a BAFTA nomination for Butterflies (1979-1980). Among John B Hobbs’ other notable comedy credits were Terry & June (1982), Leaving, Lame Ducks (both 1984-1985), Three Up Two Down (1986-1989), Brush Strokes (1990-1991), Bread (1990-1991), ’Allo ’Allo! (1991-1992) and Down to Earth (1995). He had previously worked as a production assistant on Clochemerle (1972), Wodehouse Playhouse (1975-1976), The Fall and Rise of Reginald Perrin (1976-1979) and To the Manor Born (1979).
