Glynis Johns

A British actress, born in South Africa, who is most widely known for her supporting role in Mary Poppins (1964). Glynis Johns made her screen debut in South Riding (1938), aged 14, and went on to star in such films as Miranda (1948), State Secret (1950), The Sword and the Rose (1953), The Court Jester (1955), The Cabinet of Caligari (1962) and While You Were Sleeping (1995). She earned an Oscar nomination for her role in The Sundowners (1960).
