An American actor, who’s best known for portraying boxer Apollo Creed in the first four Rocky films (1976-1985). Carl Weathers went on to act in both film and television, with notable movie roles in Friday Foster (1975), Predator (1987), Action Johnson (1988) and Happy Gilmore (1996). On the small screen, he appeared in the likes of Tour of Duty (1989-1990), Street Justice (1991-1993), In the Heat of the Night (1993-1995), Chicago Justice (2017) and The Mandalorian (2019-2023), the latter earning him an Emmy nomination. He also directed episodes of The Mandalorian, as well as Sheena (2001-2002) and Silk Stalkings (1993-1997), among others.
