A Japanese manga writer and game character designer, who is best known as the creator of the internationally successful Dragon Ball comic, which was later adapted into various anime and games (both digital and tabletop) series. As well as writing numerous mangas, Akira Toriyama also worked as a character designer for games, creating memorable characters and monsters for the likes of the Dragon Quest series (1986-2023), Chrono Trigger (1995), Blue Dragon (2006) and some of the Dragon Ball games (2013-2018).
