BAFTA/George Gottlieb BAFTA held a masterclass exploring the topic of dystopian worlds in games, with Gareth Damian Martin and Jörg Tittel – creators of Citizen Sleeper and The Last Worker respectively.
The event, hosted by Elle Osili-Wood, featuring quick deep-dive presentations by the speakers into the development and inspiration behind their games.
Discussion touched on how the games both depicted dystopian futures from the perspective of a worker, and how their lived experiences fed into the narratives.
The talks were followed by a group panel discussion.
