BAFTA members, guests, friends, and staff were brought together on Thursday the 21st of September for a games social at Nova Scotia in Liverpool.
This is part of a series of regional games socials held by BAFTA which are an extension of the successful London games socials held each month at 195 Piccadilly.
Around 60 BAFTA members and invited local games professionals attended to hear fro a panel of stellar speakers including Dr Gina Jackson OBE (Skillfull), Alison Lacy (Avalanche Studios), Marcia Deakin (NextGen Skills Academy), and Jamie Brayshaw (Ripstone Games) where they spoke about skills and talent in the games industry.
The panel took place after the launch of the local GameChangers pledge: a commitment by Liverpool’s games companies, educators and local authorities to develop new pathways into games.
