Tara Grace

Tara Grace is the Senior Vice President of HBO Programming and Films, responsible for overseeing the development, production and acquisition of scripted limited series and series, as well as original movies for the premium network. She was named to this position in August 2020. Previously, Grace was senior vice president, HBO Films, Miniseries, and Cinemax.

Grace joined HBO as director, HBO Films, in 2007. Prior to HBO, Grace worked at The Kennedy/Marshall Company as a development executive from 2003 to 2007. During her tenure, she served as a co-producer on the Academy Award® nominated film Persepolis, based on Marjane Satrapi’s comic book autobiographies, and was an associate producer on the documentary Roving Mars directed by George Butler for Walt Disney Pictures. She was also involved in various projects including The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, Munich, The Diving Bell and the Butterfly, Bourne Supremacy and The Bourne Ultimatum.

Grace has overseen such Emmy winning films as Bad Education, with director Cory Finley, starring Hugh Jackman; The Normal Heart, directed by Ryan Murphy, starring Mark Ruffalo, Matt Bomer, and Julia Roberts; Behind the Candelabra, a film by Steven Soderbergh and starring Michael Douglas and Matt Damon; Game Change, a film by Jay Roach starring Julianne Moore, Woody Harrelson and Ed Harris; You Don’t Know Jack, starring Al Pacino, directed by Barry Levinson; and Cinema Verite, starring Diane Lane, Tim Robbins and James Gandolfini, directed by Shari Springer Berman and Robert Pulcini
