The Orange British Academy Film Awards, event and souvenir brochure photo essay by official BAFTA photographer Phil Fisk. The theme of the shoot was British Directors, featuring the likes of Edgar Wright, Danny Boyle and Gareth Edwards.
"My approach was to try and make the locations as interesting as possible, as if the portrait was part of some location "recce" for a future film. This wasn't always possible due to the directors’ schedules but in the end we improvised with the locations we were given and I feel the variety we got really says something about the British landscape, architecture and the individual. The series was shot over a bitter English winter so the pictures have a mood and darkness that is a staple feature of filming in the UK.”
