An American actor who is best known for his roles as Parker in Alien (1979) and Bond villain Kananga in Live and Let Die (1973). Other notable film roles included Raid on Entebbe (1976), Blue Collar (1978) and Midnight Run (1988) and long-running US crime drama series Homicide: Life on the Street (1993-1999), for which he also penned a couple of episodes.
