A British games executive, Troy Horton started at Core Design in 1992 as a games tester. Core was acquired by Eidos Interactive in 1996, where Horton helped develop the first four games in the hugely successful Tomb Raider series (1996-1999). After a move to first Japan and then China, Horton returned to the UK in 2018 as head of game scouting at Team17, signing several popular games to the developer-publisher.
