A British writer and executive producer, who is best known for co-creating and writing Scottish comedy Two Doors Down (2016-2022) with Gregor Sharp. Originally conceived as a one-off for the BBC, it proved so popular the show went to series, with a seventh season in production in 2023, and earned Simon Carlyle three BAFTA Scotland award nominations in 2016 and 2017. Carlyle’s previous television writing credits included Terri McIntyre (2001-2003), Happy Holidays (2009), Boy Meets Girl (2015-2016) and, most recently, Changing Ends (2023), which he co-created with comedian Alan Carr for ITVX.
