A British producer who specialised in pioneering travel films, cookery programmes and commercial projects, Angell’s credits included Passport Portugal (1959) and The Wandering Company (1984). He notably filmed the Queen’s coronation in 3D alongside Arthur Wooster, and the pair were the subject of a documentary when the footage was screened on Channel 4 in 2009. He was a longstanding member of the BAFTA Council and Chair of the Programme Committee. He edited the BAFTA newsletter and organised events for members. He chaired BAFTA's Shorts, Animation and Film Sound juries.
