An American actress, who became a global icon in the mid-1960s. Raquel Welch burst onto the scene first with Fantastic Voyage and then One Million Years B.C. (both 1966). Playing the personification of Lust in Bedazzled (1967) only bolstered her fame, followed by notable performances in 100 Rifles (1969) and The Three Musketeers (1973), the latter earning her a Golden Globe. She returned for the sequel, The Four Musketeers: Milady’s Revenge (1974), with other starring roles including Myra Breckinridge (1970), The Wild Party (1975) and Crossed Swords (1977). She worked consistently over the following decades, taking guest TV spots on the likes of Lois & Clark (1995), Seinfeld (1997) and Spin City (1997-2000) and supporting roles in What I Did for Love (1998) and Legally Blonde (2001).
