A British actor, who put his military experience in the Royal Marines to good use for memorable roles in The World of Tim Frazer (1960-1961), Colditz (1972-1974) and Who Pays the Ferryman? (1977). Hedley was more of a regular on British television than film, appearing in the likes of Kate (1970-1971) and One By One (1984) and Hard Cases (1988), but he did appear in several high-profile movies, including Lawrence of Arabia (1962), The Crimson Blade (1963), Of Human Bondage (1964), Goodbye, Mr Chips (1969), For Your Eyes Only (1981) and The New York Ripper (1982).
