An American actor best known away from the screen for his one-man Mark Twain stage show, Holbrook gave memorable performances in films including All the President’s Men (1976), The Fog (1980) and Into the Wild (2007). He notably took the lead role in the miniseries Lincoln (1974) and later appeared as Preston Blair in Stephen Spielberg’s Lincoln (2012).
