A British comedy writer who penned the Reginald Perrin novels, Nobbs adapted his own work to bring the character to the screen with Leonard Rossiter in The Fall and Rise of Reginald Perrin (1976-1979). He wrote for The Two Ronnies (1972-1982) and for the likes of David Frost, Ken Dodd and Tommy Cooper.
