Born in Kenya, television executive David Frank co-founded influential British indie production company RDF Television (later RDF Media Group) with his brother Matthew in 1993. Frank had started out as an investment banker before switching careers to become a business journalist, eventually working for the BBC on Newsnight and the Money Programme. He left to set up RDF, which made such hits as Faking It, Wife Swap and The Secret Millionaire. The Frank brothers sold RDF in 2010 when it became part of Zodiak Media, with David Frank as CEO. He left three years later and went on to set up distribution platform TRX and indie distributor Rocket Rights, also with his brother.
