A Czech-born actress who enjoyed success on television in Germany and Austria, Vavrova took a small part in Milos Forman’s Amadeus (1984). Her film career began in earnest with Herbstmilch (1988) continuing with Stalingrad (1993), Schlafes Bruder (1995), The Damned (2002) and The Last Train (2006), which she co-directed.
