Born in Singapore and raised in the UK, actor Arif Hussein was trained in the theatre but soon became interested in producing and writing. In 2001, he set up Kaos Films and created the British Short Screenplay Competition, with the winning screenplays made into films with Hussein as producer. Several of these went on to win prizes at various international film festivals.
