Annie Nightingale CBE

A British broadcaster, who is best known for her work as a pioneering DJ and presenter on BBC radio. Annie Nightingale also fronted multiple programmes on British television across her six decade-long career, most memorably as host of music show The Old Grey Whistle Test (1977-1982). She also hosted That’s for Me (1964-1965), Sing a Song of Sixpence (1965), Late Night In Concert (1982-1988) and One to One (1989-1990), among others. She was awarded an OBE in 2002 and was later appointed CBE in 2020.
