A British actress, whose first love was theatre but who nonetheless enjoyed a rich career in television, almost exclusively dramas. Notable credits included The Six Wives of Henry VII (1970), The Onedin Line (1971-1972), This Year Next Year (1977), Flying Lady (1987-1989) and Heartbeat (1993-1998). She was BAFTA-nominated in the Actress category in 1973 for two roles, The Onedin Line and mini-series The Strauss Family (1972).
