An Italian producer who began his career as a lawyer, Grimaldi switched focus in 1962 and produced films for Italy’s biggest directors including The Good, the Bad and the Ugly (1966), Last Tango in Paris (1972) and Salò, or the 120 Days of Sodom (1975). He received BAFTA nominations for Ginger and Fred (1986) and Gangs of New York (2002).
