BAFTA Television: The Sessions

Join BAFTA for an all-day event dedicated to this year’s Television Craft Nominees. Sessions will focus on different craft categories; exploring each discipline and discussing this year’s nominated television shows, and the craft behind them.

11am – 12pm

BAFTA Television: The Sessions – Writing: Comedy and Drama

A chance to hear from this year’s nominees from two screenwriting categories - Writer: Comedy and Writer: Drama.  Guest speakers will talk about their nominated work, and offer an opportunity to ask your questions. Panellists will include Paul Coleman (Car Share), Sharon HorganRob Delaney (Catastrophe) and Nicole Taylor (Three Girls).

1pm – 2pm

BAFTA Television: The Sessions – Directing: Factual and Fiction

A chance to hear from this year’s nominees from two categories Director: Factual and Director: Fiction.  Guest speakers will talk about their nominated work, and offer an opportunity to ask your questions. Panellists will include Anna Hall (Catching a Killer), Charlie Russell (Chris Packham: Aspergers and Me), Xavier Alford (Drugsland: Heroin Love Story), Paul Whittington (Little Boy Blue) and Philippa Lowthorpe (Three Girls).

3pm – 4pm

BAFTA Television: The Sessions – Editing: Factual and Fiction

A chance to hear from this year’s nominees from two categories - Editor: Factual and Editor: Fiction.  Guest speakers will talk about their nominated work, and offer an opportunity to ask your questions. Panellists will include Ged Murphy (David Bowie: Last Five Years), Anna Price (Louis Theroux: Dark States), Pia Di Ciaula (The Crown),  Una Ni Dhonghaile (Three Girls) and Dan Roberts (Peaky Blinders). The session will be chaired by film journalist, critic and writer Ian Hadyn-Smith.

4.30pm-5.30pm

BAFTA Television: The Sessions – Creating the World of Game of Thrones

A chance to hear from some of the creative team behind the hit programme, this panel will focus on the nominations in Costume and Production Design. Speakers include Costume Designer Michele Clapton and Production Designers Deborah Riley and Rob Cameron. The session will be chaired by TV critic and writer Benji Wilson.
