Vankshita Mishra | Fulbright-BAFTA Scholarship

Vankshita is a filmmaker based in L.A and London. After completing a bachelor’s degree in Natural Sciences (Physics & Chemistry), she has worked in film & publishing as well as with Greenpeace UK. She is now studying for her MFA in Film Production at USC.

It has been a huge, exciting and an entirely unexpected honour! I am thrilled but also aware of the great responsibility and faith placed in me. I hope to learn and absorb as much as I can so I can create resonant, meaningful work.

She also works as an actor, assistant director and production assistant on others’ projects. Alongside her work, Vankshita is a member of the Other Cinemas film school that works as a collective, championing radical voices in film that think beyond the mainstream.
