Obiageli grew up in Lagos, Nigeria. Previously, she worked as an equity trader on Wall Street before transitioning into screenwriting. In 2019, she received her MFA from USC’s School of Cinematic Arts. Since then, Obiageli’s scripts have garnered her a Humanitas New Voices Award, a BAFTA Newcomers Fellowship, a ScreenCraft Fellowship, and a Paramount Writers Mentoring Program Fellowship. In 2020, Obiageli worked at Spotify writing narrative true crime podcasts. She was then hired as a Staff Writer on GUILTY PARTY at Paramount+. Currently, Obiageli is an Executive Story Editor on ALL AMERICAN at The CW.
