SCREENWRITER, DIRECTOR

SECOND YEAR - NEW YORK

Chilean filmmaker based in New York. Her films tell stories of women in their working place, tapping into the close relationship between provider and customer to explore ways in which human connection can be a catalyst for change.

Her fiction short films “On My Own” (2019) and “La Virgen, La Vieja, El Viaje” (2020) have screened at Torino FF, LALIFF, and Palm Springs Shortfest, among others. “On My Own” was awarded the Student Jury Prize Award at DGA Student Film Competition in 2020. 

Currently, she develops her first feature “Decorous Woman”, selected many labs and markets among the Iberoamerican Region. The project has also won two Development Grants from the Chilean Board of the Arts. In addition, she distributes her thesis short film “So They Say” (2022), winner of two production grants.

In academia, she has taught Film Studies and Screenwriting at Columbia University. Currently, she mentors thesis film projects at Pontificia Universidad Católica in Chile.
