Jazmin Hernandez is from Koreatown Los Angeles, and she is a student at Santa Monica College where she is studying Film. 

“I am very grateful that I was selected for this special program especially after learning who the inspiration behind it was. I appreciate that this program understands that opportunities should not be determined by factors that you cannot change about yourself”

Jazmin is passionate about film and hopes to one day become a Director and Producer.

“I applied to the Vance Byrd Mentorship Program because I thought it would be a great opportunity to learn from those who are in the film industry on a day-to-day basis. “

Jazmin’s entertainment hero would be Florence Pugh. Jazmin admires Florence’s ability to bring “raw and real” emotion to each of her performances
