FIRST YEAR - LOS ANGELES

Lucia is a Slovak-born, Los Angeles-based cinematographer. After graduating from AFI Conservatory, her film “Apart, Together” won Best Live Action Short at the 2021 GSA BAFTA Student Awards, Best Narrative Short at the 44th AAIFF, Women In Film Award at HollyShorts and is currently streaming on Amazon Prime Video. In 2021 she shot a narrative feature with Sidney Flanigan (“Never Rarely Sometimes Always”) and D'Pharaoh Woon-A-Tai (“Reservation Dogs”) in leading roles.

Since then she’s been working as a full-time cinematographer both in LA and Slovakia for clients such as Amazon Music, Maison Kitsune, Viacom, Sesame Street, and others while her work remains mostly narrative with multiple short films in between. She is a current delegate of the Association of Slovak Cinematographers. Her background and life experience give her a unique approach towards the human perspective, culminating in her ability to translate complex emotions into impactful visual storytelling.
