Felix van Kann

Felix van Kann is a German screenwriter who holds an MFA in screenwriting/directing from Columbia University. He was recently a participant in the Impact x Netflix DACH Accelerator Program during which he sold and developed the series Fanatics for Netflix. In 2021, Felix received a Sloan Screenplay Grant for his screenplay Upstreamers which was later awarded a Sloan Production Grant at the Film Independent Producing Lab. Felix‘ pilot Legends of Local League was one of four finalists for the Humanitas Student Comedy Fellowship in 2021. At Columbia University, he taught undergraduate students as a Screenwriting Teaching Fellow.

Felix is drawn to comedies and dramas with an often absurd and dark tone, exploring themes such as irrational obsessions, fragile masculinity, and boyhood, often inspired by his experiences as a semi-professional tennis player. He lives in Los Angeles where he currently works on multiple TV and feature film projects.
