Fatima is a writer and director who will be studying Film Production at the University of Texas at Austin. Fatima started her career as a video journalist at BBC News. She was also a part the documentary production team at BBC Studios, where she had the opportunity to work on the film 'Whoever Heard of a Black Artist?'. Fatima will continue to work on her writing and directing skills during her time at the University of Texas at Austin. Fatima is inspired by her Sudanese heritage, especially the oral storytelling traditions of the Nubian tribes of her grandparents.
