Delyth Thomas

Delyth Thomas is a twice BAFTA-nominated director whose work encompasses primetime drama and hugely popular family shows.

She started in the industry as a runner and worked her way up the ranks. Her primetime network break was an episode of The Bill which aired on New Year’s Day to great acclaim. From there, Thomas went on to work with Sir Lenny Henry, Julia McKenzie, Idris Elba, Craig Roberts, Kenneth Cranham, Rebecca Front, and the legendary Ann Mitchell.  Equally at home with raw talent, Thomas helmed three series of the hugely successful The Story of Tracy Beaker for which she received her first BAFTA nomination.

Credits include A&EHope and Glory, Julian Fellowes Investigates a Most Mysterious Murder, comedy drama single You Can Choose Your Friends, and two series of the period drama Hetty Feather, for which she received her second BAFTA nomination. Thomas has worked for all the major UK channels and recently directed The Worst Witch - her Netflix debut.
