Shardul Bhardwaj | Performer

Actor Shardul Bhardwaj has been busy in 2023, with roles in the Netflix mini-series Trial by Fire and two feature films, namely Kuttey and The Scavenger of Dreams and a short film Next Please.

Shardul studied acting at the Film and Television Institute of India, Pune, before making his movie debut in a supporting role in Bhonsle (2018). His next film, Eeb Allay Ooo! (2019), saw him take a leading role and won him a Special Jury Mention at the well-regarded Jio MAMI Mumbai Film Festival and a Filmfare Awards nomination.  He also acted in the film Chand Mubarak, which was a part of the Unpaused anthology on Amazon Prime. Shardul is the co-founder of an arts collective called The Gathered. He is an award-winning theatre actor; has worked as assistant director and casting director on the film Soni (2018); subtitled two films for director Pushpendra Singh, Ashwatthama (2017) and Pearl of the Desert (2019); and written about the arts for Indian English-language newspaper, The Tribune.
