Abhinav Tyagi | Editor

Abhinav Tyagi is an editor, who made his debut on documentary An Insignificant Man (2016) about the rise of Indian politician Arvind Kejriwal. Abhinav served as editor, post producer and chief assistant director on the film, which premiered at TIFF and was picked up for distribution by VICE.

Abhinav’s distinct style was on show again in Gully Life: The Story of Divine (2019), about the Mumbai rapper who became a superstar, and My Daughter Joined a Cult (2022), a three-part investigation into self-styled spiritual leader and godman, Swami Nithyananda, for Discovery+. Abhinav also led the edit on the film While We Watched (2022), exploring recent changes in Indian mainstream news reporting, released in the UK and Ireland by MetFilm Distribution. Abhinav’s most recent project is the four-part true crime documentary Dancing on the Grave (2023) for Amazon Prime.
