ZAZIE BEETZ: I did not cast myself. This is for Shayna, so ...
Shayna could not be here this evening as she just gave birth to a baby girl.
She wishes to send a deep thank you to Todd for his belief in her, and to Emma for her support, as well as the entire cast and crew of Joker.
She would also like to thank the British Academy for recognising the contribution of casting directors and for this immense honour. Thank you.
