Winner's acceptance speech by Sandy Powell for The Favourite in the Costume Design category
SANDY POWELL: Thank you, BAFTA.
The Favourite really was a costume designer's dream, with the rare opportunity to design for three powerful female protagonists, played by three powerful, amazing actors, Olivia, Rachel and Emma.
There are too many people for me to thank personally, but I have to give a big collective thank you to my amazing team of collaborators, without whose talent and dedication, I wouldn't be standing here right now.
And I also want to thank Yorgos for his inspiring determination to continue to break boundaries, and be quite bonkers, actually.
