London, 25 July 2018: BAFTA today announced Dr Jo Twist OBE as the new Chair of its Games Committee. Twist, who is CEO of games industry trade body Ukie, follows Nick Button-Brown, Chair at Outright Games, who held the post for a two-year term.

Following the suspension of Harvey Weinstein’s BAFTA membership in October 2017, BAFTA has formally terminated his membership, effective immediately. The termination is the result of a process laid out in BAFTA’s constitution. 

In light of recent very serious allegations, BAFTA has informed Harvey Weinstein that his membership has been suspended, effective immediately.
