FOURTH YEAR – LOS ANGELES
‘She’s ancient depth in a Tiffany’s box’ said one acting teacher of Sohm Kapila’s recent guest star roles in shows for FOX, CBS and Universal. Her past year as a Bafta Newcomer has included many highlights, like working with Mindy Kaling, seeing her short released on Amazon, being in the virtual writers group, and getting chosen to interview Tracie Ellis Ross for BAFTA's Tea with an Emmy Nominee series. Sohm was born in India, raised in Nottingham and now lives in Los Angeles, she believes this unique cultural background has been key in helping her connect with global audiences, booking a range of characters from an American FBI Agent, an Indian Aunty to a British Chef. She continues to work on her online cooking show 'Honey's Kitchen TV' and looks forward to producing her third short this year. From the age of 14 Sohm has believed that art plays a conscious role in connecting humanity and she continues to bring light to all that she does, makes her voice heard in politics and attacks all of it with love.
