THIRD YEAR – LOS ANGELES
Muriel Naim is a Director - Writer of film, TV & theatre emerging from Tel-Aviv's art scene. At 18, while serving as a war photographer, her 1st theatre production Jubilee premiered at the National Theatre. Her films have screened in over 60 film festivals and cinematheques globally, and premiered at REDCAT, TIFF and CBFF. Naim's film Janek/Bastard earned her several awards including Best Directing at the Bali International, Women in Horror and George Lindsay film festivals; Audience Award at HollyShorts, Miami Shorts and PJFF; and Best International Short in CBFF and the Catalina Island Film Festival. A graduate of AFI's Film Directing program, she was mentored by Oscar-winning Director Asghar Farhadi and was awarded the Irwin & Sheila Allen Scholarship for excellence. Muriel is co-writing a TV drama for Big Screen Entertainment & developing a TV series in collaboration with A&E. She is currently prepping to shoot her feature-length debut.
